HIGH SCHOOL AT LAKEWOOD PARK

COLLEGE PREP. LIFE READY.

Families at Lakewood Park don’t have to choose between strong academics and a solid Christian education. We offer INDIVIDUALIZED INSTRUCTION that is specifically designed to enhance education in the context of a BIBLICAL WORLDVIEW. It’s no surprise that 100% of our graduates who apply for college are accepted. We spend four years preparing them to THRIVE SOCIALLY AND ACADEMICALLY as they develop into young men and women of Christian character and influence.

OUR APPROACH

Our tailored-fit high school program is designed to create leadership opportunities, encourage spiritual growth, and help students become excited about career and life goals. Our curriculum is rigorous and our teachers are passionate, so students have the chance to learn, grow, and succeed both academically and spiritually. At Lakewood Park, we believe that every student has unique gifts and talents that should be nurtured and developed.

ACADEMIC ADVANCEMENT

Has your teen always enjoyed computer science or mathematics? Are they interested in defining their passion for performing arts? Just like a college major, our academic tracks allow students to identify their budding interests and talents, then develop skills in a focused area. Unlike many schools in the area, we partner with 4-year universities (Purdue-Fort Wayne, Trine, Ball State, and Indiana Tech) to provide a large catalog of AP and Dual-Credit courses. We also partner with numerous organizations and businesses to provide a robust internship program that gives students the opportunity to figure out what they like (and don’t like) while also gaining experience along the way. Our teachers weave SAT prep into all of our core classes which results in our students consistently ranking in the top 10% of SAT scores in the country.

COMMUNITY & CHARACTER

While a number of schools in the area also offer academic and extracurricular experiences, where Lakewood Park wins is culture–it’s what sets us apart. We create a culture where students are known, loved, and challenged to grow and produce graduates that are not only well-prepared for college and career, but also for life. Talk to most alumni and they’ll say that they’ve made lifelong mentors in our teachers and friends in their classmates. Our community of believers builds into students that become citizens who want to make a difference in the world. With character and leadership as a focus, we nominate twenty students every year to attend a leadership camp as well as attend the Veritas Camp at Huntington University.

ENRICHMENT & EXPERIENCES

One of the things we love most at Lakewood Park is watching high schoolers discover their God-given gifts and sharpen new skills. If your student enjoys athletics, theatre, technology, or even student government, they will fit right in at Lakewood Park. Over 70% of our students are involved in either an athletics program (that spans 24 teams over 12 sports offerings) or other enrichment such as our theatre program. Unlike most schools, students at Lakewood aren’t forced to become specialists in one sport or one club. In fact, over 50% of our students participate in more than one extracurricular because we encourage students to try new things. Learning goes beyond the classroom. Our students have won prestigious art competitions including Best of Show at the Huntington Art Show, State Stamp Art Competition, the Scholastic Art Competition, and the Congressional Art Competition. Seniors can earn credits in science or history on one of our annual trips to places like the London and the Grand Canyon.

Graduates invested in the community. equipped to lead. grounded in wisdom. engaged in discipleship. committed to serve.
