Aftercare
After Care at Lakewood Park
Lakewood Park Christian School offers Aftercare for students who need care beyond the regular school day. Aftercare is available five days a week throughout the academic year at both Main Campus and North Campus.
AFTERCARE IS DROP-IN — NO ADDITIONAL ENROLLMENT OR ADVANCE NOTICE REQUIRED.
Main Campus Aftercare
Main Campus Aftercare provides a safe, welcoming place for students to relax, play, spend time with friends, and enjoy snacks provided by Lakewood Park each afternoon. Convenient drop-in care is available every school day from dismissal until 6:00 PM.
- Grades: Kindergarten–6th Grade
- Hours: 3:05–6:00 PM
- Rate: $5.00 per hour
Enrollment
No enrollment or advance notice is required. Students may attend Aftercare whenever care is needed.
Daily Experience
Aftercare begins immediately after dismissal, giving students time to enjoy snacks, games, friends, and outdoor play. Kindergarten through 4th Grade students not picked up during carline are transitioned directly to Aftercare by staff. Students in 5th–6th grade who need Aftercare are escorted to the Aftercare space and signed in by staff when their carline is completed at 3:25 PM.
Pickup Locations
Aftercare uses two primary pickup locations throughout the afternoon: the Elementary Playground and the cafeteria through Door 11. When weather permits, students typically spend part of the afternoon outside; when Aftercare is indoors, pickup takes place through Door 11. Our schedule and location may vary based on weather, programming, and the needs of the group. Authorized individuals are welcome to contact Aftercare for more specific information about typical pickup times between the playground and cafeteria.
Pickup Procedures
Individuals authorized to pick up a student must have the student’s car tag available and sign the student out with Aftercare staff before leaving.
North Campus Aftercare
North Campus Aftercare provides a safe, welcoming place for our preschool students to relax, play, spend time with friends, and enjoy snacks provided by Lakewood Park each afternoon. Convenient drop-in care is available every school day from dismissal until 5:30 PM.
- Grades: Preschool
- Hours: 2:45–5:30 PM
- Rate: $5.00 per hour
Enrollment
No enrollment or advance notice is required. Students may attend Aftercare whenever care is needed.
Daily Experience
After preschool dismissal, children can recharge through imaginative play, age-appropriate activities, and time with their classmates in a caring, supervised setting.
Pickup
Pickup takes place at the cafeteria or playground based on weather and daily activities. Approved adults should bring the child’s car tag and complete checkout with Aftercare staff. Specific pickup and building access instructions are provided directly to North Campus families.

What does Aftercare cost, and how does billing work?
Aftercare is a drop-in program, so families are billed based on their student’s actual Aftercare usage.
- Rate: $5.00 per hour
- Main Campus billing begins: 3:15 PM
- North Campus billing begins: 2:45 PM
What happens if I arrive after Aftercare closes?
We understand that unexpected circumstances can happen, but we ask families to plan to arrive with enough time to complete pickup before Aftercare closes.
- Main Campus closes: 6:00 PM
- North Campus closes: 5:30 PM
- Late pickup fee: $1.00 per minute after the campus’s closing time
