CULTIVATING EXCELLENCE IN THE ARTS

This year’s theme at Lakewood Park is Cultivate. We’re focused on nurturing growth in four key areas: being Christ-Centered, building Community, encouraging Curiosity, and developing Character. Like a gardener tending to a garden, we aim to cultivate a rich environment where every student thrives in faith, wisdom, and integrity. Join us as we cultivate these values and sow the seeds for a brighter future together.

“Good things come in threes.” The Latin phrase is omne trium perfectum, meaning, “everything that comes in threes is perfect.” Certainly that has been true for Lakewood Park’s Readers’ Choice experience. We began participating in these awards three years ago, and our community has voted, voted, voted to achieve the top spot for all nominated categories. And how does Dr. Burris feel about it? “We are grateful, grateful, grateful. As a smaller school, it makes this honor even more meaningful as we begin another record enrollment term.”

A Tailored-Fit Approach To Education With Christ At The Center

Christ-centered approach

Christ-Centered Approach

Christian education and academic rigor should not be mutually exclusive. We challenge our students to grow in both scholarship and faith.

Tailored-Fit Education

We provide students with a tailored-fit education where they are seen in an environment that shares the values you are instilling in your home.

Parent partnership

Parent Partnership

Parents are an integral part of our community. We always welcome their input, participation, and advocacy as we raise the next generation of Christian leaders together.

Lakewood Park Highlights

ACADEMICS

Students receive excellent, hands-on instruction in core classes, advanced curriculum, and the arts. We build on these competencies to advance them as complete learners.

ATHLETICS

We’re a member of IHSAA in ten varsity sports spanning 31 teams. We see sports as a means of ministry, serving the Lord, and developing leadership.

ARTS

We are passionate about exploring each student’s special, God-given talents in music, art, and drama, while teaching our students to use their talents to glorify God.

CHAPEL

Each week, our students worship together (by grade level) and engage in the Word of God during chapel.

EXPERIENCES

We give our students numerous opportunities to experience life and cultures all over the world through our grade-level trips.

CAMPUS

We’re located on a beautiful 180-acre lakeside campus featuring a new outdoor amphitheater just minutes north of Fort Wayne, IN.

Parents & Students Love Lakewood

Lakewood Park Christian School is designed to create a better educational experience for the entire family!

As soon as you walk in the building, everyone is smiling, including the kids. They’re walking through the hallway as though everyone knows each other and is involved with each other even if they aren’t in that class. The fifth and sixth graders know my preschooler by name! When they see her, they say hi. Kids and teachers take the time to acknowledge each other, and I love that.

It’s been my experience at larger schools that kids are often required to become specialists - an excellent athlete, a band member, or a theater kid, etc. But at Lakewood, my kids have been able to grow in multiple dimensions and also able to try new things - something every kid at that age should be able to do. They can be more than one thing - a driven scholar, a multi-sport athlete, an accomplished musician, a class officer - all while learning subjects through a Christian lens.
